Welcome!

Hey ya'll!

Going back to [self-taught] school

You’ve read about my diagnoses and troubles. Well you’re about to hear the new plan to get my shit together. I’ve done it all—ECT, CBT, pharmacy full of meds, IOP, inpatient…it’s been nothing but a fight so I decided to put together my own program (mixed with my AA program) and make a regular schedule out of it.

Here’s what I’m doing:

  • Bought a few workbooks specifically for my issues. One on Complex PTSD and one about transforming past trauma.
  • I also have a devotional that I’ll be doing with my sister-in-law called Mrs. Betterhalf by Holly Furtick to focus on how I can be a better me a wife.
  • And my SIL gave me a newlywed’s devotional that hubby and I will read Sunday evenings and work on throughout the week. (It means the world to me that he’s doing this for us)
  • She also gave me a devotional written by her previous boss about Loving Your Neighbor —and yes, everyone is your neighbor.
  • AA. Headfirst into my program and working my steps and attending meetings.

I plan to spend a minimum of an hour daily working on my trauma and C-PTSD books and let the work with the Lord take whatever time it needs. I’m also going to walk daily and appreciate the beauty he created all around me, just be more mindful.

I’m being intentional in my healing and I know it won’t always be easy, but neither is the bs I deal with. I’m here to be transformed and I have faith in our Father that it can and will be done if it’s his will.

So, yeah. I’m homeschooling myself lol
